2018 Summer Programs 

Parents, it is not too early to make sure your youth and teens make the most out of their summer. Registration for 2018 Suffolk Parks and Recreation Summer Camps begins Wednesday, March 1. This year's camps include an exciting offering for all young people.

Summer Registration 

You will need to bring at the time of registration:

  • Proof of residency
  • Proof of child's age
  • Two emergency contacts

Registration

  • Must be completed by parent or guardian at the specific site that the child will attend
  • Is done on a first come, first-served basis
  • Only payment reserves child's place. Payments are non-refundable.

Each registrant will receive a Parent Handbook.  There is a Handbook Acknowledgement Form that must be completed and returned with the Registration Form for each camp.

Time:  Monday-Friday | 7am-3pm
Cost:  $35 One time Registration Fee, $85 per two week session
Calling all teens! Join us at the East Suffolk Recreation Center to DISCOVER YOUR FUTURE.  Teens will be given the opportunity to enjoy games, sports, crafts, and field trips.  Camp includes breakfast, lunch and a t-shirt. This program is designed for rising 6th graders to rising 10th graders. The camp will be held at the East Suffolk Recreation.

This program is filled with fun activities, arts and crafts, clubs and four exciting field trips.  Your child will have an awesome time and adventure participating in this program. This program is for youth grades PreK-4 to rising 6 graders. The cost is $85 per session. This camp will be available at the following Recreation Centers: Booker T. Washington, Creekside, Mack Benn Jr., Northern Shores, and Oakland.

Cost:  $25 One time Registration Fee, $45 per one week session
This program is filled with fun activities, arts and crafts, clubs and four exciting field trips.  Your child will have an awesome time and adventure participating in this program. This program is for youth grades PreK-4 to rising 6 graders. The cost is a $25 one-time registration fee and $45 for each one week session. This camp will be available at the Whaleyville Community Center located at 132 Robertson Street.

Cost:  $40 per week

Come and join the Office on Youth as they launch their first Therapeutic summer camp, CAMP LIMITLESS is a Therapeutic summer camp for children and adolescents with special needs and ABILITIES! Camp Limitless is an innovated summer program for children and adolescents with special needs that allow campers to flourish in a structured environment while feeling comfortable and secure. From this foundation we encourage campers to embrace and learn new skills and have new experiences in which they can build upon outside of our camp in school, at home, or in their everyday life.

Time:  Monday-Friday | 7am-6pm
Cost:  $25 One Time Registration Fee, $35 per one week session
If your child has a desire to learn the game of basketball, this camp is for them. This "Basketball 101" program will improve basketball skills while addressing important life lessons and values. Youth will learn the value of discipline, teamwork, and the importance of setting goals. In addition to basketball training, there will be incredible guest speakers, video lessons and workshops. This program is for youth and teens ages 8 to 15.

Time:  Monday-Friday | 9am-12pm
Cost:  $150 One Time Registration Fee
How would you like the opportunity to learn the many facets of the game of golf?  Golf can be exciting while learning skill techniques, basic rules, etiquette and course management.  This program is for boys and girls.  Fees include golf clubs, golf bag, hat and shirt.  The program is held at Sleepy Hole Golf Course.

             Session 2   |  August 27-30  |  Ages 10-14
Time:  Monday-Friday | 7am-6pm
Cost:  $80 per session
Do you have an adventurous child that is interested in learning more about the great outdoors?  Then, OAK, Outdoor Adventure Kamp, is the program for you!  Your child will enjoy the wonders of nature and the fun experiences that this summer camp offers.  Campers will need insect repellent, sunscreen, water, snack and lunch.  Tennis shoes are highly recommended.

If you have a child that enjoys art or needs to have his/her creativity sparked with new ideas, then sign up for the Summer Art Camp.  This camp is held just before your child begins to enter school for the Fall. So, get your child back on track to creativity for the Fall.  Field trips are included for this trip.
