General Shelter in Place Recommendations

• Assemble a home Shelter in Place (SIP) kit with emergency phone numbers.
• Choose a room in your home to serve as a "Shelter Room" with minimal doors and windows.
• Determine how to quickly shut off all air moving equipment in your home to include: heating, air conditioning, exhaust fans, etc.
• Sign-Up for the City’s Alerts to ensure you will receive Shelter in Place (SIP) messages.
