Child Care Services
The Child Day Care program provides funding to enhance the quality, affordability and supply of child care available to low income families. The Child Day Care program is an important component in promoting the broader objective of self-sufficiency for our customers. The Child Care program consists of Fee Child Care, Transitional Child Care, Headstart, TANF VIEW and Non- VIEW Child Care. This program is for parents who are working and/or attending school. Child care will be authorized for the hours that you are attending the activity and for which services are approved. If you are married or cohabitating, services will be based on the hours that you and your spouse/co-habitant are both attending approved activities. This program does not pay for child care services during job search.
Parents may receive up to 6 years of child care to support employment or school, if you are not receiving TANF benefits. This is not a guaranteed program as funding is limited. Eligibility is based on income and availability of funding.
This program is for parents who are working. Child care will be authorized for the hours that you are working; this is the only activity for which child care services are approved. If you are married or cohabitating, services will be based on the hours when you and your spouse/co-habitant are both working. This program does not pay for child care services during job search or attending school.
Parents may receive up to 12 consecutive months of transitional child care to support their employment if they have received TANF (VIEW or Non-VIEW), and the TANF case is closed. The Transitional eligibility period starts on the 1st day of the month following closure of the TANF case and ends 12 months later.
This program is for parents that are working or attending school and receiving Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, also known as TANF.
Child care will be authorized for only the hours that you are attending the approved activity for which services are provided. If you are married/cohabiting, services will be based on the hours that you and your spouse are both attending approved activities. This program does not pay for child care during job search or training.
This program is for parents who are participating in VIEW approved activities and are receiving TANF assistance.
Child care will be authorized only for those activities that are on your VIEW Activity and Service Plan. If you are married/co-habiting, services will be based on the hours when you and your spouse are both participating in approved activities.
This program will pay child care for job search only if it is on your Activity and Service Plan.
FEE Child Care
This program is for parents who are working and/or attending school. Child care will be authorized for the hours that you are attending the activity and for which services are approved.
