COMMUNITY MEETING TO DISCUSS AQUATICS FEASIBILITY IN SUFFOLK
Wednesday, September 13, 2017
In 2016, Suffolk City Council adopted the Suffolk Parks & Rec Master Plan, which identified indoor swimming as a priority facility and unmet need in our city. In order to fully understand the impact such a facility would have on our community, the City of Suffolk Dept of Parks & Rec is embarking on an Aquatics Feasibility Study. The goal of this study is to provide factual information on the costs and benefits associated with constructing, operating and programming a variety of aquatic venues. With that in mind, the City of Suffolk is hosting a community meeting for citizens to provide their feedback and to help make this study a success. The meeting will seek to identify our vision and unmet needs for aquatics in Suffolk. The meeting will be held Wed., Sept 13, 2017, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Suffolk City Hall, 442 W. Washington St.
