[ARCHIVED] Downtown Suffolk Community Litter Cleanup Scheduled

Suffolk Public Library and Keep Suffolk Beautiful are joining forces to host a Love Our City: Meet Up and Clean Up event on Saturday, February 24, 2018. Community members can meet at the Morgan Memorial Library at 10:00 a.m. and then work as teams on a predetermined route to clean up litter and debris. The cleanup will conclude at 1:00 p.m.

Those interested in participating are asked to wear suitable clothing and footwear. Litter grabbers, safety vests, gloves, bags, drinks and snacks will be provided. This event is the perfect way for the community to show their love for their city by helping to keep Suffolk beautiful. Students who need to fulfill their community service hour requirement are welcome to bring their community service timesheet to get their hours signed off on.

Anyone can organize their own community cleanup and borrow supplies by contacting littercontrol@suffolkva.us or (757) 514-7604.
