[ARCHIVED] Public Utilities Water Model Hydrant Testing

The Suffolk Department of Public Utilities is updating the computer model that is used to determine available water flows at fire hydrants and at other points within the City’s water distribution system.  A part of the update process is to field test the actual water flow at various fire hydrants and then calibrate the model using the field flows.

During the week of July 27, 2020, Public Utilities staff will be performing hydrant flow tests at the locations shown below. If you notice any discoloration in your water due to the flow testing, please call 757-514-7040 for assistance.
