[ARCHIVED] Suffolk Voter Registrar's Information - CITY OF SUFFOLK - NOVEMBER 2, 2021 GENERAL ELECTION



The upcoming General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.


In person Absentee voting is available in the Voter Registration Office, located at 440 Market Street, First Floor, Suffolk, Virginia and begins on Friday, September 17, 2021.  The office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Saturday hours will be observed on October 23, 2021 and October 30, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for early voting.


The deadline to register or update your voter information for the November 2, 2021 General Election, is Tuesday, October 12, 2021.


The deadline to apply for a ballot to be mailed to you is Friday, October 22, 2021.   The last day to apply in person and vote by absentee ballot in person at your local Voter Registration Office is Saturday, October 30, 2021.   


Virginia law requires all voters to provide either an acceptable form of ID or sign an ID Confirmation Statement at the polls.  Voters arriving at the polls without an acceptable form of ID will be required to either sign an ID Confirmation Statement or vote a provisional ballot.  For a complete list of acceptable forms of identifications, please visit, .


All residents of the City of Suffolk are encouraged to register to vote.  If you are not registered to vote, please call or visit the Voter Registration Office to apply or visit the Department of Elections website, to complete the online application form.
