Planning Commission

Planning Commission Meetings are held in City Council Chambers, located on the second floor of the Municipal Center Building at 441 Market Street on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 2:00 p.m. See the land use schedule for specific dates.

Please note that these meetings are tentatively scheduled and are subject to cancellation.

PURPOSE: The City's Planning Commission is a State mandated body whose primary goal is to promote the orderly development of the City. The Commission serves primarily in an advisory capacity to the City Council. Typical functions include the preparation of a comprehensive plan for City Council consideration, making recommendations on rezoning and conditional use permit applications and approval of subdivision plats.
