can I get one for my personal use?
The budget is available for review at the Morgan
Memorial Library and North Suffolk Library, and on
the City’s website at:

2. How can I get a general overview of the
budget?
The City Manager’s Message and Budget Document
Overview section provide a summary of the budget
and its contents.
3. What is the difference between the
operating budget and Capital Improve-
ment Budget?
The Operating Budget funds day-to-day
operations and ongoing or recurring expenses.
The Capital Budget is for one-time
expenditures for adding new facilities, roads, or
renewal or replacement of infrastructure.
4. Where can I find how much of the
City’s budget is allocated for Schools and
how that is being allocated?
The City allocates 50%, or $143.5M of the total City budget, to the Schools. For details on how school funds are allocated, call Suffolk Public Schools Administration at (757) 925-6750 or visit their website at www.spsk12.net.
