Each year the CCJB works to support and/or introduce legislation that will strengthen public safety in our community. The priorities of the Fifth District Community Criminal Justice Board are:
- To preserve Local Public Safety Core Services
- To work towards additional funding for local community corrections programs
- To support funding for staffing and efforts of Community Criminal Justice Boards throughout the Commonwealth
- To support the provision of appropriate substance abuse treatment for offenders
- To support transition programs for offenders returning to the community from prison and jail
