The City of Suffolk will hold two community meetings to solicit citizen input and recommendations for the next fiscal year’s Operating and Capital Budget (FY 2017-2018).
The community meetings will be held:
• Wednesday, January 11, 2017, 6 p.m., Suffolk City Hall, 442 West Washington Street
• Tuesday, January 17, 2017, 6 p.m., North Suffolk Library, 2000 Bennetts Creek Park Road
The community meetings will feature a presentation on the City’s budget process and Operating and Capital Budget as well as open dialogue with citizens to obtain input and suggestions for next year’s budget.
A budget survey will be distributed at the community meetings to solicit feedback from citizens regarding the upcoming fiscal year budget. The survey will also be made available Tuesday, January 3, 2017 on the City’s website at www.suffolkva.us.
The information provided by citizens at the community meetings and in the budget survey will assist the City in prioritizing funding recommendations in the FY 2017-2018 Operating and Capital Budget.
