Council Member Charles D. Parr, Sr. has been a member of the Suffolk City Council since 2006, representing the Suffolk Borough. He also serves as the City&';s liaison to Economic Development Authority, the Western Tidewater Regional Jail Authority and the Virginia Municipal League Human Development and Education Policy Committee.

Council Member Parr is the owner and manager of Parr Funeral Home and Crematorium. He is an active member and supporter of many civic, professional, church, and community organizations.
