The
City of Suffolk GIS development has been guided using a methodology well
accepted in the municipal government arena. The GIS Implementation has progressed
through a series of "steps" beginning with the original idea for utilizing
digital mapping through data conversion and analysis. Each of these major
steps resulted in a document detailing the findings and noting the next
logical step in the implementation process.
