3 - GIS Implementation Plan - After evaluating the available data sources within the city and determining the needs, wants and expectations for GIS of city employees and citizens, the consultant was tasked with developing a GIS Implementation Plan. This implementation plan developed a "road map" that is being used to guide GIS development by the city now and into the future.
This GIS Implementation Plan was used to determine the required hardware and software as well as to begin to determine the budgetary requirements necessary for the city to obtain the benefits of GIS identified in the GIS Needs Assessment. The plan also evaluated the potential for the GIS integrating with present and planned information systems throughout the City.
