HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR II

Salary: $16.11/hr

Under general supervision, performs specialized skilled work in the operation of one or more types of motorized light, medium, or heavy equipment used in support of difficult or complex City maintenance operations and to lead or supervise other workers. Work involves performing routine equipment maintenance; assisting and supporting City facility and area maintenance and routine administrative tasks; developing work methods and sequences under general supervision. Reports to the Street Foreman.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent with one to two years of practical training and experience operating heavy equipment and performing related activities; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Commercial Driver's License.
