Diana Klink Diana provides leadership for media and public relations and external and internal communications for the City of Suffolk. She consults with members of City Council, the City Manager, and the City Manager’s staff to develop media and public relations strategies and policies. She directs and oversees all external and internal publications, including information on the Municipal Cable Channel and City’s website. Additionally, she works with the City Manager and City Council in developing the overall goals and objectives of the City of Suffolk and effectively communicates these to constituents and employees. Diana promotes positive publicity for the City and fosters the development of public relations expertise for members of the staff by providing technical guidance and support. Tim Kelley Tim provides administrative coordination for public relations and internal communications for the City of Suffolk. He coordinates the development of internal and external publications and assists with the development and production of programs on the Municipal Channel, including hosting and coordinating a weekly cable TV program. He also coordinates and arranges special events, in addition to assisting City administration and departments in various promotional activities. He responds to all requests for documents pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act and implements the Act throughout the City. He oversees the coordination of outsourcing the City’s webservices and in ensuring effective performance by the City’s webservices provider. Andy Franklin Andy is responsible for all engineering and administrative work managing the operations of the City’s Municipal Access TV Channel (Channel 8). He produces, videotapes and edits programs of local interest for the channel, including City Council, Board of Zoning Appeals, Planning Commission meetings, special events and “On the Scene,” a weekly show. In addition, he oversees the technical operations of the City’s television studio. Andy is also responsible for engineering associated with the production and presentation of municipal programming, scheduling productions, and producing various video presentations. Katie Burt Katie designs promotional flyers, brochures, posters, programs and special event invitations, as well as prepares news releases and other promotional literature. She prepares all types of correspondence, and responds to media and public inquiries in accordance with State open records laws. She conducts extensive research for the department on various issues, as well as reviews on a daily basis all local print media and provides articles of interest to designated members of City Staff. Dawn Evans Dawn performs administrative/clerical work in assisting customers of the City and answers the main switchboard for all incoming phone calls. She greets and provides assistance to visitors of the Municipal Building, and is well-versed on the operations of various City Departments so as to best assist the public and direct their inquiries appropriately. She provides clerical assistance to members of the department, assists with accounts payable, facilitates the Director’s calendar and also maintains a listing of local Civic Leagues and Homeowner’s Associations.
