To act in an advisory capacity to City Council on matters relating to cultural activities and to the fine arts, and as an advisory board to museums in the City.

Suffolk Fine Arts Commission Accepting Applications for Grant Program

 

The Suffolk Fine Arts Commission announces the availability of funds for its FY 2016-2017 grant program. The purpose of the grant program is to increase community access to high quality art to include, but not limited to visual and performing arts. The program is open to any organization or individual whose project promotes this purpose in the City of Suffolk. The Commission will review all grant requests and determine the number and amount of grants to be awarded.

The Suffolk Fine Arts Commission is now accepting grant applications.  The submission deadline is August 30th. Applications must be mailed or delivered to Tameka D. Williams, Suffolk Fine Arts Commission Liaison at 134 South Sixth Street, Suffolk VA 23434 no later than 5:00 pm on August 8th.  Faxed or emailed applications will not be accepted.
