A 50-acre park which offers three free boat ramps that access the Nansemond River, a playground, tennis courts, restrooms, three covered shelters that can be reserved for use, a nature trail, open fields, a fishing and crabbing pier with handicap accessible features, and plenty of fresh air and sunshine. Disc Golf
Come out and enjoy our brand new Disc Golf course at Bennett's Creek Park. In a partnership effort with Can I disc golf, Bennett?s Creek disc golf course is a state of the art golf course with rolling fairways, water hazards and beautiful scenery. This 18 hole course is free and open to the public. Everyone from beginners to pros will enjoy this course with tee pads available for all levels of play. Located on the shores of the Nansemond River in historic downtown Suffolk, Constant's Wharf Park and Marina is home to some of the best outdoor activities and concerts in Hampton Roads.
Boaters glide over the waters of the Nansemond River to search for that perfect fishing hole and swimming spot. Just steps away from shopping, dining and historic attractions, the park features 6 acres of well maintained lawns, a 22 slip marina and includes activities for everyone.
Whether strolling along the wharf or enjoying one of the many special events or concerts under the stars there's always something exciting happening!
The Compass Rose/observation deck are available for rental for weddings only at $150 per hour if the park is not set up for a City event. A deposit of $150 is required for weddings. For information call 514-7267.
Mooring Rates:
Daily - $1 per foot plus $4 for electricity (if needed) Monthly - $4 per foot a month plus $20 for electricity (if needed) Slip reservations must be made 24 hours in advance. Please call 514-7250 between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Lake Meade Park offers a picnic shelter, a playground, and tennis courts. Future plans for the park include a 1/8th of a mile exercise trail.
Shelter Fee:
Lone Star Lakes offers eleven lakes for fresh water fishing, nature trails, picnic areas with tables and grills, a playground, a 4-mile horse trail, archery range, model airplane flying field, fishing and crabbing pier, shoreline fishing areas, plenty of flora and fauna, and friendly park rangers to welcome you. The park is open seven days a week from sunrise to sunset.
Fees for park use are $4 per day for fishing access ($30 for annual permit per person, $5 annual senior citizen fishing permit, and $60 for family permit); $3 per person for horseback riding access ($20 for annual permit per person or $50 for family permit); $2 per person to use the archery range; and $2 per person to use the airplane flying field. Annual permits are available at the Park Ranger's office. Annual permits are valid from January 1 through December 31. Please note that boat rentals are not available, and propellers must be removed from gas-powered motors. Only motors with 15 hp or less are allowed in the lakes. Lone Star Lakes Lodge

The Lodge is located on the grounds of Lone Star Lakes Park. The Lodge is available to the public for events such as small family reunions, picnics, etc. The lodge has a fully equipped kitchen and will house 50 people.
Deposit of $150.00 per day charged for each rental.

A 66-acre park with an 30-acre lake with assorted waterfowl. SHP also offers a variety of natural areas, 12 picnic shelters, five volleyball nets, horse shoe lanes children's play - ground, restrooms, open space, trails, and breathtaking views of the Nansemond River. Great for a family reunion, birthday party or an old fashioned picnic. Picnic packs are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are available at the Parks and Recreation Administrative Office. The pack contains a Frisbee©, a whiffle© ball and bat, bases, horseshoes, and more. You must be at least 18 years old to reserve a picnic pack.
