The Water Quality Division operates the City's certified Water Quality Laboratory. This division ensures all potable water produced is in compliance with State and Federal regulations.

The Water Quality Laboratory's responsibilities include:

• Ensuring that all water distributed by the City of Suffolk adheres to all state and federal water drinking standards from raw water sources and throughout the distribution system
• Providing water quality analyses for citizens who operate their own private well system
