The Maintenance Division of Public Works provides building and grounds maintenance for various City of Suffolk public buildings and facilities, as well as mosquito control services to established mosquito districts throughout the City.

The Buildings Maintenance Division provides janitorial services, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, landscaping, and lawn care services for Suffolk's City buildings.

The Grounds Operations Division provides landscaping and general grounds maintenance for Suffolk's municipal buildings, as well as the right-of-way in the Suffolk Taxing District. This Division also maintains the grounds at Holly Lawn Cemetery and Cedar Hill Cemetery, in addition to coordinating cemetery plot sales and grave openings and closings.

The Mosquito Control Division provides spraying, larviciding and surveillance (disease testing) for mosquitoes in the established special taxing districts from Spring through Fall.
