Administrative Division

The Administrative Division of the Suffolk Police Department provides support services to our internal customer base, while effectively meeting citizens’ requests for a multitude of record keeping services. The Administrative Division is comprised of Central Records, LAN Administration, Property and Evidence, Staff Coordination, Communications and Warrant Unit. This Division oversees the majority of civilian staffing for the Department.

The Administrative Division, located at 111 Henley Place is commanded by Captain John Brooks. Capt. Brooks has been with the Suffolk Police Department since 1992. He has worked his way through the ranks of the Uniform Patrol Division commanding both Precincts before his recent transfer to Administration. He is a 2008 graduate of the West Point Leadership School offered through Virginia Beach’s Training Academy.
