Message from Chief

Welcome to our updated website! We think it accurately reflects our commitment to the timeless values of public service and integrity while showing our strong commitment to being on the cutting edge of law enforcement technology and training. I am proud to be at the helm of the Suffolk Police Department during this time in the Department's history. We are working diligently to position our Department for the demands of the future, while holding fast to our roots as a citizen focused organization.

Our Strategic Plan and ten year Vision Plan has been crafted to address the staffing, technology and capital improvement needs facing our Department based on economic, residential and crime patterns. This document, updated with regularity, will help guide the Department and enable us to meet the challenges of the future.

In addition, our Department is moving towards CALEA Accreditation. This Accreditation process will enhance our professionalism, and improve our performance and service delivery to our community.
