Important Information Regarding Refuse Collection

Effective July 1, 2011, the City of Suffolk Department of Public Works is providing automated refuse removal service throughout the City. Ninety gallon trash containers will be delivered to those new to automation.  All trash collection schedules will remain the same.

Suffolk's City-wide recycling program will officially kick-off on Tuesday, September 6. TFC is wrapping up deliveries of the blue recycling containers to each household throughout the city, along with instructions for what should be put inside. Post cards will soon arrive in the mail to inform residents of their bi-weekly pick-up schedule.

Recycling containers will be emptied every other week, on the same day as your trash pickup.
