For our Fall Exhibit, the Suffolk Art Gallery and Suffolk Art League invited visual and literary artists to participate in our Visual to Verbal: Capricious Whimsy exhibit. Line v. FieldLive v Field Postcard Front

​For our Winter Exhibit, the Suffolk Art Gallery presented, Line v. Field from artists Christopher Revels, Julie Stanton, and Walt Taylor. This collaborative exhibit focused around the relationship between line-work and color fields with works combining areas of abstraction and representation, color block technique and realism. This exhibit was on display at the Suffolk Art Gallery from December 11th, 2020 through January 22nd, 2021. ​

We were excited to host our Fall Exhibit, Cumulative Contemplations, by watercolor artist, Sharon Hardin. Hardin has been painting with watercolor for the past three decades and has exhibited from local to international galleries with her work. She has worked as an arts educator with both arts councils and universities including the North Carolina School of the Arts and Salem College in Winston-Salem, NC. This exhibit was on display at the Suffolk Art Gallery from September 25th through October 16th, 2020.

The Suffolk Art Gallery and Suffolk Art League present a virtual exhibit highlighting local water industries and waterways. Artists include Barbara Anne Harris, James Warwick Jones, Glen McClure, and Suzanne Pruitt. All works will depict local water scenes in and around the Chesapeake Bay.

Opening Reception on Friday, December 13 | 5:30-7:30pm.

Exhibit Dates: December 13th, 2019 - January 24th, 2020.

An invitational exhibit showcasing different styles of printmaking and printmaking artists from the area and beyond. Works on display range from woodcuts to screenprints, and more in between. Artists include Mona Wu, Eddie Fitzgerald, Alan Skees, John Runner, and Clay McGlamory.

Opening Reception: Friday, September 13th from 5:30-7:30pm

An invitational exhibit highlighting the art of functionality. Works on display range from handmade textile works to hanging ceramic birdfeeders, and turned wooden vessels.
