RENTAL FACILITIES

Planter's Club, 4600 Planter's Club Drive

With a view of the Nansemond River, the Planter's Club is a beautiful, mid-sized facility for your private event.
The facility includes: 

  • 2,500 sq. ft. Banquet Room
  • Raised Stage
  • Wet Bar Area
  • Fully-equipped Commercial Kitchen
  • 450 ft. Open Exterior Deck

The facility allows a maximum capacity of 144 people. Tables and chairs are included in the rental price.

All rentals must be a minimum of four (4) hours for the event.
Each rental requires a refundable $150 deposit and a non-refundable $25 application fee.
The set-up/clean-up fee for each rental is $50 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 4 hours. (Additional set-up/clean-up time over four hours will be charged at the regular event hourly rate.)

2. Review the rental rules and regulations.

Open House hours are regularly scheduled on Thursdays from 6 - 8 p.m. Please call our Administration Office at (757) 514-7250 to confirm the date of our next Thursday tour. Tours can be made prior to, or after, a reservation is made. 

3. Check rental availability by calling our administration office at (757) 514-7250.

All rentals are subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis. Planter's Club rentals may only be reserved in-person with payment of the application fee and deposit. Your rental will not be guaranteed until the deposit and application fee have been paid in full. 

4. Complete the City of Suffolk Facility Application.

5. Reserve your date in person at our Administration Office.

The Administration Office, 134 South Sixth Street, is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. We accept cash, check, money order, credit and debit cards.

Recreation Center Rentals

We offer rental space at all of our Recreation Facilities. The perfect space for a baby shower, meeting, or family reunion. Our Recreation Facilities offer a great range of room sizes and locations throughout the city!
***Recreation Center reservations are open 365 days in advance.

Park Shelter Rentals

We have a variety of park shelters available for day rentals at locations throughout the City. The shelters are the perfect place to host your next birthday party or family reunion. Shelter rentals are available year-round.

Shelter rentals are open to Suffolk residents and non-residents and reservations can be made 365 days in advance. The latest a shelter reservation can be made is 3 days prior to the reservation date. Saturday reservations can be made no later than the Wednesday prior.

Refund Policy: There are no refunds for park shelter rentals. If there are unfavorable weather conditions on the day of your rental, please contact the Administration Office within 5 business days after your reservation. The shelter rental fee will be credited to your parks & recreation account for later use. Shelter rentals cannot be transferred to any indoor accommodations.

All rentals are subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis. Shelter rentals may be reserved in person (see below) or through our online registration system. Payment is due in full at the time of registration. Shelter reservations are only guaranteed once payment has been received and a receipt/permit has been issued. 

The Administration Office, for in-person registration, is located at 134 South Sixth Street. The office is open Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. We accept cash, check, money order, credit card, and debit card.
