Park Shelter Rentals

Suffolk Parks and Recreation has a variety of park shelters available for day rentals at locations around the city.  The shelters are the perfect place to host your next birthday party, church picnic, company get-together or family reunion.  Shelter rentals are available year round.

Shelter rentals are open to both residents and non-residents of Suffolk and reservations can be reserved for the current calendar year on January 2.  The latest a shelter reservation can be made is 3 days prior to the reservation date (Saturday reservations can be made no later than Wednesday prior).

How to Reserve a Shelter: 

1. Review the size and price sheet.

2. Confirm the park and shelter location for your rental.

3. Review the rental rules and regulations.

Refund Policy: There are no refunds for park shelter rentals.  If there is a unfavorable weather condition on the day of your rental, please contact the administration office within 5 business days after your reservation.  The shelter rental fee will be credited to your parks and recreation account for use of a later reservation.  There are no indoor accommodations available that a shelter can be transferred to.

All rentals are subject to availability on a first-come, first served basis at the time of reservation.  Rentals may be reserved in person only with payment in full.  No "holds" can be made over the phone.

5. Rent a Shelter in person at our administration office.

The administration office is located at 134 South 6th Street Suffolk, VA 23434.  The office is open Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.  Accepted forms of payment are cash, check, money order, credit card, and debit card.  We do not accept American Express or Discover cards (we apologize for the inconvenience).
