Suffolk Parks and Recreation's Recreation Program is a great, enriching program that offers quality care for children and teens throughout the year. From after school care, to a spring break camp and a summer long camp, the Rec Programs at Suffolk Parks and Recreation has much to offer. The Recreation Centers in the City of Suffolk are Joint Use Facilities, sites that are attached to an elementary school. Northern Shores was the first Joint Use site initiated by the City of Suffolk. It is located in the northern section of the City. Creekside Recreation Center is also located in the northern section of the City, and it is the most current Joint Use Site. Booker T. Washington Recreation Center was developed during the expansion of another existing elementary school in east Suffolk. It is located in Downtown Suffolk. Mack Benn Jr. Recreation Center is located in the Beamon's Mill area of east central Suffolk. Oakland Recreation Center is located in the Chuckatuck area of Suffolk.
