LATER SERVICE

Starting September 1, 2023, Suffolk Transit is expanding its operational hours for five of its six routes to improve service.      

Green Route

Monday to Friday last bus leaves the Downtown Transfer station at 7:30 P.M.

Saturday the last bus leaves the Downtown Transfer station at 3:30 P.M.

Starts at the Downtown Transfer Station and travels through Downtown to West Washington Street and down South Broad Street. It travels down Smith Street to Wellons Street, where it serves the Saratoga Neighborhood before heading back up Carolina Road to the Downtown Transfer Station then it heads up Main Street to Obici Hospital. The route continues down Hillpoint Boulevard to Kings Fork Road where it travels as far as Kings Fork High School before heading back to Hillpoint and Godwin Boulevard. 


Orange Route

Monday to Friday last bus leaves the Downtown Transfer station at 7:30 P.M.

Saturday the last bus leaves the Downtown Transfer station at 3:30 P.M.

Starts at the Downtown Transfer Station and travels through Downtown to East Washington Street. From East Washington Street the route serves Hall Avenue, White Marsh Road, Lake Kennedy Park, Hollywood Avenue as well as other areas. 


Red Route

Monday to Friday 6:30 am until 6:30 pm 

Starts at the Downtown Transfer Station and travels through Downtown to Finney Avenue and Pinner Street. It travels on Portsmouth Boulevard to the Magnolia Park and Ride and Magnolia Gardens on Prospect Street. It also serves the Food Lion on Portsmouth Boulevard, Wal-Mart, Lakeview Medical Center, Western Tidewater Free Clinic and the Pruden Center. 


Yellow Route

Monday to Friday the last bus leaves the Downtown Transfer station at 7:50 P.M.

 

Saturday the last bus leaves the Downtown Transfer station at 3:30 P.M.

Starts at the Downtown Transfer Station and travels through Downtown to Holland Road. It proceeds down Route 58 to Food Lion, Paul D. Camp and the ACE Hardware distribution center. On its way back into town it travels down Military Road to Wellons Street where it serves the Saratoga Neighborhood and then down Carolina Road to the Obici Industrial Park. 


Pink Route

Monday to Friday the last bus leaves the Downtown Transfer station at 6:30 P.M.

 

Saturday the last bus leaves the Downtown Transfer station at 2:05 P.M.

Serves as the connector route for Downtown Suffolk, the Wilroy Industrial Park on Progress Road, Northgate Commerce Park, HRT at Chesapeake Square, and Northern Suffolk. This route begins at the Downtown Transfer station heads to the Magnolia Park and Ride before heading up Nansemond Parkway to Progress Road and then Wilroy Road. The route continues on Nansemond Parkway to the Northgate Commerce Park and then to the HRT Bus Stop on Portsmouth Boulevard in Chesapeake and then heads to the North Suffolk Library. It leaves the North Suffolk Library to serve Pughsville Road, the HRT bus stop on Portsmouth Boulevard and Northgate Commerce Park again before heading back down Nansemond Parkway to the Wilroy Industrial Park and back Downtown. 


Purple Route

Monday to Friday the last bus leaves the North Suffolk Library station at 7:30 P.M.

 

Saturday the last bus leaves the North Suffolk Library station at 3:30 P.M.

Starts at the North Suffolk Library and travels down Shoulders Hill Road to Bridge Road. From Bridge Road the bus heads to Belle Orchard and Sentara Belle Harbour. It then heads to Harbour View, down Hampton Roads Parkway to College Drive where you can reach Kroger and Wal-Mart. The route then continues to head down College Drive to serve the rest of Harbour View Blvd. The route then heads to Bridge Road go down Town Point Road and Pughsville Road as it makes its way back to the North Suffolk Library.
