What We Do
The purpose of the Family and Court Services team, also known as Family Stabilization is to preserve and strengthen families. This includes working to reunify children with their families and to preserve families and children who may be at risk of abuse and neglect.
The Family Stabilization worker provides general counseling and referrals for community based services such as counseling, medical services, housing resources, training and employment services, parenting classes, substance abuse education, transportation and follow-up services.
Court services are responsible for conducting services such as court-ordered family supervision, home studies and assessments.
We Help Families
- Build on their own strengths
- Become self-sufficient
- Remain together and avoid foster care (when possible)
- Discover and use needed services
- Help themselves
