Bid Postings are presented to announce upcoming Invitation for Bids (IFB), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and Request for Quotes (RFQ) - which have an estimated value of at least $50,000. IFB, RFP and RFQ announcements will remain on the Bid Postings for a period of 10 days after the due date.
In some cases, attendance at a pre-bid or pre-proposal conference will be a requirement for submitting a bid or proposal.
Bids and proposals must be received and time stamped in the Purchasing Division office prior to the date and time specified in the solicitation document. Late bids and proposals are not accepted. It is the offeror's responsibility to assure that bids and proposals are received in the Purchasing Division office prior to the specified time.

If there is a question about the closing date, the date printed on the solicitation is the most current. If you have any questions concerning the solicitation please contact the contract officer or buyer listed. In the event that City offices in the Suffolk Municipal Center are officially closed because of severe weather or other emergency conditions at the time and date specified for acceptance, the acceptance date and time will automatically, without requirement of an addendum, be extended until the next business day that the City offices are officially open. Should bidders who answer an invitation for Bids, discover an error in their submittal, the bidder may request withdrawal of their bid up to two days after the bid opening date by submitting such a request in writing, along with work paper to demonstrate the error, to the contracting officer or buyer listed on the solicitation. The City of Suffolk does not discriminate against faith-based organizations. An announcement of the solicitation can be obtained by making a selection from the following list. In most cases, the actual document may be downloaded; else, the notice will give a general description of the purpose or scope and a location where documents may be obtained.
