EXTENDED ROAD CLOSURES DOWNTOWN SUFFOLK


SUFFOLK, VA (August 4, 2020)   Suffolk Police advise of an extended road closure to through traffic affecting several locations in Downtown Suffolk due to damage to multiple businesses from Hurricane Isaias. 


West Washington Street at Main Street to Pine Street, as well as Saratoga Street at West Washington Street to Smith Street, will be closed to through traffic effective immediately until further notice.  Public Works is currently placing detour signage in these areas at this time.  


Sidewalks in several areas are also closed, however, businesses that were not directly impacted remain open.


Citizens can call 514-7600 to report non-emergency roadway issues.
