Is everyone in the City required to have their septic tank pumped out or inspected?
No, properties located outside of the CBPA (in the southern portion of the City) do not need to have their septic tanks pumped out. Regular maintenance and service of your septic system is one of the best ways to save money as a home owner and also to retain your home’s value. You are encouraged to have you septic inspected and pumped regularly. If you are interested in ways to care for your septic system please see a list of resources here.
