How do I apply for water and/or sanitary sewer services?
New or existing residents should contact the department's Customer Service Division at 757-514-7000 when applying for service. Renters will need to bring their lease and a picture identification into the Customer Service office.

Also, if the property is located within the Conservation District renters need to ensure that a valid Rental Certificate of Occupancy is on file with the City of Suffolk. This document can be obtained from the property's owner or landlord. For a listing of all properties located in the Conservation District, reference the Rental Certificate of Occupancy List (PDF).
