    July 5, 2019, 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM @ East Suffolk Recreation Center

    Young at Heart Fitness begins Monday June 10 at East Suffolk Recreation Center. Class meets Mondays and Fridays, 11:00 AM-11:30 AM. This class is appropriate for all fitness levels. Registration is included with a Senior Annual Membership or $2 drop-in fee. This Session is June 10-July 12. Young at Heart Fitness is a 30-minute total-body workout that focuses on improving balance and coordination for everyday tasks, increasing flexibility, joint stabilization, and muscular strength. This class is open to ages 55+

  1. Independence Day Holiday - Suffolk City Offices are Closed

    July 4, 2019 - July 5, 2019

    In observance of Independence Day, Suffolk City offices will be closed Thursday, July 4, 2019 and Friday, July 5, 2019. Normal operations will resume Monday, July 8, 2019, at 8:30 a.m. There will be no trash or recycling collection on Thursday, July 4th. Suffolk Public Works Department will pick up trash on a one-day delay with Thursday’s trash routes on Friday and Friday’s trash routes on Saturday. TFC Recycling will also run on a one-day delay with Thursday’s routes on Friday and Friday’s routes on Saturday. The Suffolk Public Works Department reminds residents that trash must be placed at curbside no later than 7 a.m. on the day of collection. Businesses located in the Downtown Business Overlay District (DBOD) will have their collection run as scheduled with collections on Tuesday and Friday.
